The bedspread and the chenille pillow shams were found separately, but because they're both white with pink touches, you really can't tell that they don't match exactly until you look very closely.
The sheets are white with little pink roses. They're 100% cotton which makes them cool in the summer, warm in the winter and easy as cake to care for. Never any pilling, either. I found them at Ross at a great price and had to snap them up!
Behind the pillow shams, I used vintage pillowcases hand crocheted with the yummiest pink roses. The pictures do not do them justice. The fabric is bright white and the roses are the sweetest pinks. I also carried the crocheted rose theme to the night stand to tie it all in together.
I'm not sure why the pictures came out so dark and dull. It's so white and bright in person and it just makes you want to jump in bed and lay in the patch of sunlight like a cat (especially when the A/C is on and you can enjoy the best of both worlds).
Because this is a vintage bedspread, it's a double or full size which doesn't fit today's modern queen size bed. I just put a white battenburg lace dust ruffle under the mattress. It's not perfect, but it gives it that cottage layered look.
The throw pillows were made by a friend on eBay. She used vintage embroidery and fabrics in all of them mixed in with newer fabrics. She's no longer selling and is devoting all her time to being a wife and mommy.
Caring for chenille is so easy, too. I just pop it in the washing machine on a light cycle and toss it in the dryer on a med-low setting. It always comes out soft, fluffy and smelling wonderful!

Very pretty, My grandmother always had chenille bedspreads on her beds, wish I had some of those now!
I just spent awhile reading a lot of your past posts. This is my first stop to your blog and I fell in love! You are on my list of favorites now!
So whree do you live now that you are not in CA any longer?
I'm born and raised and lived here all my life. I don't think I'll ever get to live somewhere other then CA. Not that I'm complaining.
So would you mind telling me where you used to go treasure hunting when you were out here. Did you do mostly Garage Sales and Estate Sales?
I just adore all your lovely vintage linens you got. Those first three pillow cases that are roses are so cute! Are you going to sell them? If so, how much? I want them!
Big hugs
Joanne
I used to live in OC, now I'm in San Antonio, TX! The good thing is that now I have a huge backyard, the bad thing is that I have a huge backyard that needs so much work.
I will be selling those pillowcases probably towards the middle of August. They'll be on my eBay site starting for about $7.00 or $8.00 each. They're so pretty in real life! You'd love them.
Thank you for stopping by my site. It's always so fun to meet new people.
Blessings,
Patricia :o)
Hi Patricia!
So, you're in San Antonio...we're practically neighbors in Texas-terms!! (I'm in Houston) I'll definitely have to look you up when I'm there...which is about once a year or so...please do the same if you ever venture to Houston!
I LOVE this wonderful layered dressing for your bed...every stitch of it!! Chenille is so yummy anyway and putting it together with the embroidered pillowcases (which are fabulous!) and the dust ruffle and shams and embroidered pillow ans sweet sheets...wow, it's a great look, and yep, it's real inviting!!
BTW, your comments over at my place are always so sweet and so very appreciated!! Thank you!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Becky S.
PS - you can almost bet that I will be including a vintage embroidered collage piece in my giveaway that I AM going to have VERY soon...so stay tuned!! - B

Thank you for your visit to my blog so I could find YOU. What a beautiful bed you have in all its pretty white and pink goodness! And I spy a very pretty crochet rose doily on that nightstand. And I just have to say the BBC Pride and Prejudice rocks! Right?
Hugs,

Hello Patricia,
First of all, many thanks for leaving two nice comments on my blog.
They are much appreciated!
I had a lovely time having a look at your blog, you are the Queen of linens!
Also you are a very talented lady, your bag-bags and tea cosies are to die for... and for sure the nicest I ever seen!
I will add you to my favorites, as i would love to buy some for presents for loved ones, not just yet, as we are going on holidays next week and money is a bit tight at the moment...
By the way I fell in love with your chic & shabby closet, its G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S!
If you go to:
The linen cupboard blog,
the lady who runs it, she`s asking for well dressed photos of beds, I have sent her mine and she`s donne a good job with it, as well as, advertising my website... which its always good!
... as your bed is so beautiful dressed in vintage, I thought you may want to do is as well.
Just a thought...
Her link is on the pink bar on my blog.
It`s all for now,

Hi Patricia -
I just love the look of your bedroom. Everything is so comfy and restful looking. There's nothing like chenille, is there? And those pillowcases with the crochet are gorgeous. Your header is great - I could study it all afternoon! I love beautiful linens.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving your sweet comments. I hope you will visit again soon. I'll be back here to see what you have to share and I'll be checking your EBay shop.

Hi Patricia,
We share the same name! Are you a Patricia Ann? I love the pictures of your white chenile and roses. They look light enough for our hot summer nights. Very, very pretty.
That looks so pretty
Alison
Hi! No, I'm not a Patricia Ann:o) Actually, I'm a Alejandra Patricia. But since Alejandra is so long and doesn't really sound like me, I go by Patricia.
:o)
I just love that pretty bedspread! What a neat blog you have here.
What a beautiful bedspread! I use vintage sheets and pillowcases on our bed too, particularly pink rose ones, so I loved seeing this!
:)

I love your bedroom and the chenille is gorgeous! I love that it is forgiving and so easy to take care of. Nothing is better than having nice soft linens for your bed - and yours is awesome!!

Oh that is gorgeous, Patricia. That's too pretty to sleep on!!!
I had a chenille bedspread exactly like this one when I was a young girl. It looks so beautiful with your embroidered linens and dust ruffle.
