Writer's Block

For the last several days (10 days! Wow, time goes by fast), I've had writer's block. So I thought it would be fun to show off some wonderful embroidery and crocheted work that I currently have listed on eBay. You can click on any picture to take you to there.

One of my favorite designs are gorgeous Southern Belles with beautiful crocheted skirts. This one is on a pillowcase.

I also love anything with Scottie Dogs! This little guest towel is adorable.

I really need to learn how to take super close ups of the embroidery stitches. Sometimes the work is so expertly done, with tiny little stitches, that is almost look drawn on. You have to touch it to know it was embroidered! Isn't this doily stunning?

Check out all those perfect French knots on this cutie. Next to Scotties, French poodles from the '50s are my fav! (OK, so I have a lot of favorites. Just about any animal or bird that is very well done gets oooo's and awwwww's from me.)

This doily is beautifully hand crocheted with a pineapple pattern. It's all done in white around a snow white field. Nothing adds a romantic touch like crisp white linens.
There's just something special about embroidered and crocheted items. To me they're little pieces of art that someone took their personal time to make. In a world that is constantly on the go, it's almost a foreign concept to just sit and be still. These linens evoke a quieter, more peaceful time. What an easy and inexpensive way to bring that beauty into your surroundings.
Blessings!
Patricia :o)

Hi Patricia! I love the linens you just posted on your blog, but when I went to ebay and to your website, I couldn't find the two southern belle's you pictured. Have they already sold? They are just incredible! Of course, I love all the linens you have, and you care and present them so beautifully. I treasure the ones I have from you. Anyway, if you have the time, let me know about the 'girls'. ~Leslie

Oh, my, these are so beautiful! I, too, love the Southern Belles. We have a vintage quilt hanging on the wall in our B&B with Southern Belles, each one in a different fabric dress and holding parasols. I love it!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I posted a reply to your comment, but wasn't sure you'd be back to see if. If you have time, please drop back by!

Now, I'm off to explore more of these fabulous little treasures of yours! And I'm tagging you so I can visit again soon!

Have a fabulous week and many blessings!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe your beautiful vintage linens. I swoon over linens and they are my true weak spot. It's not a good thing I discovered you :-)

Actually, I think you discovered me and I thank you for stopping by Mayberry Magpie. It's been meeting so many new bloggers.

Now I'm going back to your blog to drool.

Thanks for commenting on my blog!
I love to brag on my fav SA stores and miss them terribly. There are two Homestead Handcrafts: one on Blanco Rd north of 1604, two is (the best IMHO) on Thousand Oaks / Starcrest just east of where Perrin Beitel turns into Nacogdoches.
Another great store is Ironside Antiques - on Wurzbach just off I10.
Finally for cottage primitives towards Floresville is a store. called Recycled Memories.
How I wish I could go with you :-)

What fun you must have hunting for these beautiful treasures. I have lots that my mother and her sisters made when they were young that I adore and would never part with because of their personal significance. Luckily not everyone thinks like me!

Beautiful linens!! You have a great eye for picking great pieces. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. We live in Tyler, Texas and had the pleasure of visiting San Antonio last year. Went to a place that served great crepes!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I had to visit your site as I love vintage / antigue linens .. my Mom saved the ones that she and my Grandma worked on. Including dolies, embroidery, crochete .. I still use the pot holders my Mom lovingly made for me. I also have a dear friend in CA that loves linens and so I will forward your blog to her.
The joy of the OHOW is that I am meeting such wonderful and caring and creative people. Wishing you the best, Rosanne from the Bronx, NY . www.SunRoseAromatics.blogspot.com

Don't worry about writer's block, share the things you love, we enjoy seeing them too. I am so enjoying your music too. It's almost like walking into a beautiful gift shop, looking at beautiful linens, perhaps a tea cup or two with beautiful music playing in the background. I can almost smell vanilla or earl grey tea. blessing to you!
