Great finds - Last part (No more, I promise!)

These are the last of my findings of goodies from my California trip. (I do have TONS - well almost tons - of beautiful vintage linens I brought back with me, but you'll have to go to Vintage Linen Treasures.com and/or my Ebay to see those). Anyway...I was so thrilled when I found a hat box full of millinery flowers. The lady wanted $50.00 for all of them which is way out of my comfort zone. So I asked if I could hand pick the ones I like. She said yes, at only $2.00 each. I also got three spools of vintage velvet ribbon. Those might go up for sale...someday.

I also bought all these beautiful rhinestone buttons from the same lady. I don't remember how much I paid for them but I think it was somewhere around $15.00 for ALL of them. I didn't think that was too bad. They're so pretty and shiny! I think I might be part magpie. I LOVE shiny things. Hee hee hee

You would think that, with all these lovely buttons and trims, I was a crafter, or seamstress, or something. But no. I can sew and I can create (sometimes), but I don't have a lot of time. So I just collect all these pretty things and look at them. Good thing DH really is a dear!

What sweet treasures! I remember buttons like those on my grandmother's dresses and little overcoats. Oh such sweet memories they evoke.

I just love rhinestone anything. I pile mine in a crystal candy dish and dig through them. I also use them in my sewing:>) I have become a huge fan of the milinery too, they can be quite expensive but I think you got a good deal! Beautiful finds!

Oh my! What wonderful finds!!! I just love the buttons. Don't have to sew to use those! They would be gorgeous scattered around your favorite vignette.

What a great find you had. Oh, my love the pink roses. This is my first time here. Had a great time!

I just love the sweet little creamer with the roses in your header!!
The embroidered pillow cases bring back memories. My mother & I did them when I was a kid.

OOh look at all your treasures!! I have been collecting buttons just lately, but here in Hawaii there is just not many vintage shops or places to get them (sigh). I just have to keep looking lol. Thanks for sharing them, I love looking at treasures others share with me.
