Embroidered Poodle Vintage Apron

I have always loved aprons. I'm not exactly domestically inclined and am quite messy when I cook, do dishes and clean house. So I have to wear an apron when doing these things.

This sweet half apron is hand embroidered with a darling French Poodle wearing big pink bows. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but I'm guessing it's from the '60's.  It is home made using an apron kit.
If you're interested in this one, you can click here to check it out on my eBay site. I don't usually sell aprons, but this one was just too cute.  Hope you enjoyed it.

That has got to be the cutest apron I've ever seen! I'm very tempted to see if I could replicate the design myself on some pink gingham....

Oh how cute that is! I'm a messy cook too, and I have to wear an apron. As messy as I am, I wouldn't want to wear this cute one while cooking. Thank you for your visit to my blog and for your very kind comment. laurie

Your apron is so adorable.

Oh, that little apron is so sweet! It must have been for serving guests, back when it was fashionable to wear an apron. The poodles were so popular in the 50s, they were on everything including the infamous poodle skirts.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend

Really beautiful apron...so reminds me of my mother and grand!! They wore them cooking and when company was coming there was a fancy set that had lace around them...so pretty! I remember cross stitching too and making designs like these as children. Thanks for the memories!!!

Love the sweet little apron!
Thanks for stopping by today. It was fun to come visit you here. I do love your twin headboards. Such a find!!! Glad your son is home again. I don't know, this buisness of raising children is sometimes VERY hard and heart wrenching huh. And then on the other hand it is the sweetest dearest work our Heavenly Father blesses our lives with! :-)
Hope all will be well for your family.
Take care
Mercy
I love the handbag your lucky sister-friend in CA got from you! Very beautiful

Thanks so much for stopping by my abbey style home blogspot and leaving me a comment on duvets...here I am scrolling through your blog for the first time and reading a bit about your life. I have a son who tried leaving home and returned two times...it was heart-wrenching. But he's been HAPPILY married now for 6 years and just fathered a lovely little boy. Hurray! Things will work out for you too, my dear.
Take care,

Hi Patricia! I saw this apron on your eBay site, but resisted the temptation to bid for it, although you had a very reasonable price on it. It is really cute!
